No charges in snowmobile crash

EMC News - Ottawa OPP have decided not to lay charges against a Pakenham area snowmobiler who crashed through an ice shack on the east end of the Madawaska Headpond Jan. 21. The snowmobiler was taken to the Arnprior hospital for immediate care and later transported to an Ottawa base hospital with non-life threatening head injuries after the crash that occurred just before 2 a.m.

The destroyed ice fishing shack is owned by a Carleton Place man.
