LiPS to offer a good time
Posted Mar 11, 2010 By EMC NewsEMC Entertainment - On Tuesday, March 16, the Lanark County Live Poets Society (LiPS) is hosting two public screenings of the new White Stripes rockumentary 'Under Great White Northern Lights'.
The film chronicles the enigmatic blues/rock duo's ambitious tour across Canada, in their quest to play in every province and territory. Along the way, they played in several unconventional venues, including a city bus in Winnipeg, a bowling alley in Saskatoon, a youth centre in Edmonton, and a boat in the harbour of Charlottetown.
Showtime is 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Carleton Place Cinemas, located at 17 Albert St.
