Body of Pakenham woman located
Posted Mar 4, 2010 By EMC NewsOn Wednesday (March 3), the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lanark County Detachment officers, with the assistance of the OPP Helicopter located the body of 51-year-old Tina Smithson.
Smithson had been missing since January 26, 2010.
The investigation indicated that Smithson had left her residence on foot and that she fell through the ice into a fast-flowing creek near her home. Members of the Lanark OPP Detachment, assisted by members of the OPP Eastern Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), had conducted an extensive search of the area surrounding SMITHSON’s home.
A post-mortem is to be scheduled at the Ottawa Hospital.
